It's amazing that it's already the end of October.  Where did the year go?  I was asked by my friend Matt Edmond what we did this summer.  I honestly couldn't remember much besides going to camp for 2 weeks.

Things are very good over here.  We put my condo up for sale this week, officially listed this morning, and already have a showing.  YAY!

Work is crazy busy (I don't think we every get "down time") but good.  The boss is away in GA this week, then later this week in IL, but I'm still busy with travel for 20+ people for the following week.

School is slow.  I have a couple weeks left to finish 5 sections with  quizzes and 2 finals.  I hope to finish.  SIGH.

Other than that, we're doing well.  We had a bunch of friends over on Saturday for the First Annual Birkholz Oktoberfest.  It was great!  It POURED the entire day, but we still had fun listening to german music and marches and enjoying german food/drinks.

I've been really tired, but that's par for the course.

We're looking forward to the annual Abbott tea in a couple weeks.

Happy Fall everyone!

Last night was the 7th night in a row at the condo doing work on it.  The floor boards are all connected and in place in the kitchen and the moulding is the only thing left to go in.  Then the kitchen can be put back together, the dining room can be rearranged (it has kitchen stuff in it) and the 2nd bedroom can be emptied.

We're looking forward to our 0600 flight tomorrow and even more the following flight.  Plumeria flowers here we come!

Busy Busy Busy

It's been so very busy.  Between work and the online classes and E and his sports (wednesday is soccer, thursday is volleyball, and now he's picking up monday soccer) and the museum stuff, we're just so darn busy.

This past weekend we took on the condo.  It's been sadly vacant since we half heartedly tried to rent it and that fell through.  Enter E & T and their craziness.  The entry, living room, dining room, hall, second bathroom, and the ceilings of the entry, hall and second bathroom are freshly painted.  The old fridge (which died while we were in Germany and the meat E's mom left in the freezer attracted maggots-EW!), dishwasher (which was not draining properly) and microwave (which turned on its vent and light at it's own whim--No, it's not haunted) have all made way for 3 new, shiny, black appliances.  The glass-doored bookcase's books are packed and in the second bathroom so that the carpet measuring people can come Thursday and accurately measure.  The deck has been swept and the pillows put back out on the chairs.  The master bed is properly made.  The artwork has be hung again.

For tonight, the kitchen floor needs to be laid, the 2nd bedroom packed/sorted, as well as the master bathroom and bedroom.  The extra furniture needs to go out to the storage unit and the fish tank needs to move to the house.  SIGH.

Tomorrow, the caravan of realtors will be going through to confirm a price and check out the property.  Wednesday night the soccer game is at 9:30

Thursday, we have the full board meeting here with 2 private planes coming in and general craziness.

Friday, we have a bunch of Fortune 500 company reps coming in for an advisory meeting and it's the day of bonus checks.  YAY!

Saturday and United Flight #1 can't come soon enough.

Happy Birthday Georgie!

He's 3 today.  That's 21 in doggie years.  They grow up so fast!
